Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing medications for patient consumption under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with standard departmental procedures.
Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician may measure, mix, count, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.
Qualifications
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing medications for patient consumption under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with standard departmental procedures.
Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician may measure, mix, count, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate.
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
- Retrieves, pours, counts, weighs, measures, and sometimes mixes medication.
- Performs administrative functions such as answering phones and stocking shelves.
- Prepares prescription labels, selects the type of container and affixes the prescription and auxiliary labels to the container.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience Required :
- 3+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
- Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records
EMR)
Education Required :
- Current and unrestricted license or authorizing document from country of residence
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Physical Requirements :
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior / office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications :
- Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance to drive company vehicles
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate
- This position is unaccompanied.
- Ability to pass a DOS background check if one is required.
- Must be able to relocate to Kaiserslautern, Germany for 3 months.
- A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Germany.

Compensation Min : $76,500 Max : $78,625
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
