- Act as a key consultant and advisor to management on Human Resource issues by identifying problem areas, proposing solutions to correct any issues, and executing those solutions in a timely manner.
- Proactively stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments that impact human resources and ensure compliance with all labor regulations.
- Recommend personnel policies and procedures to the Executive Committee.
- Maintain the company’s handbook.
- Conduct job analysis and maintain job descriptions for the company.
- Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Ensure that background and reference checks are completed on all new employees.
- Oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
- Drive communications strategies that keep employees informed and provide two-way communication between employees and management.
- Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees.
- Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by law.
- Manage grievances according to company policy.
- Oversee the creation and development of instructional training methods, such as individual training, group training, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops.
- Manage web benefits through Paylocity.
- Work closely with Payroll & Benefits to ensure compliance with all payroll and benefits-related issues.
- Manage Job Performance Evaluation process.
- Audit I-9s annually.
- Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
- Monitor and assist Managers and Supervisors with performance improvement plans.
- Assist Supervisors with employee disciplinary actions, i.e., guidance and warning notices.
- Provide appropriate documents and required information upon termination of an employee.
- Handle Leave of Absence and manage record keeping and tracking.
- Analyze, process, and expedite close out of Worker’s Compensation claims.

- 3-5 years experience in Human Resources Supervisory positions.
- PHR and / or PHR-CA certification preferred.
- Detail knowledge of state and federal employment and HR laws and regulations.
- Must be able to articulate, read, write, and interpret in English and Spanish and to communicate over the telephone.
- Must have computer skills that include the use of email, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills.
- Smart device skills.
