  • Act as a key consultant and advisor to management on Human Resource issues by identifying problem areas, proposing solutions to correct any issues, and executing those solutions in a timely manner.
  • Proactively stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments that impact human resources and ensure compliance with all labor regulations.
  • Recommend personnel policies and procedures to the Executive Committee.
  • Maintain the company’s handbook.
  • Conduct job analysis and maintain job descriptions for the company.
  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Ensure that background and reference checks are completed on all new employees.
  • Oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
  • Drive communications strategies that keep employees informed and provide two-way communication between employees and management.
  • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees.
  • Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by law.
  • Manage grievances according to company policy.
  • Oversee the creation and development of instructional training methods, such as individual training, group training, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops.
  • Manage web benefits through Paylocity.
  • Work closely with Payroll & Benefits to ensure compliance with all payroll and benefits-related issues.
  • Manage Job Performance Evaluation process.
  • Audit I-9s annually.
  • Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
  • Monitor and assist Managers and Supervisors with performance improvement plans.
  • Assist Supervisors with employee disciplinary actions, i.e., guidance and warning notices.
  • Provide appropriate documents and required information upon termination of an employee.
  • Handle Leave of Absence and manage record keeping and tracking.
  • Analyze, process, and expedite close out of Worker’s Compensation claims.

  • 3-5 years experience in Human Resources Supervisory positions.
  • PHR and / or PHR-CA certification preferred.
  • Detail knowledge of state and federal employment and HR laws and regulations.
  • Must be able to articulate, read, write, and interpret in English and Spanish and to communicate over the telephone.
  • Must have computer skills that include the use of email, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills.
  • Smart device skills.
