The solutions offered by this area have a high impact across the internal NM Engineering Solutions Delivery (ESD) and enterprise teams, streamlining delivery for engineers across the organization.
Key initiatives to include the Data De-Identification Program and Test Strategy Enablement.
Organization Summary
About the role :
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team.
- Establish, aggregate, and share team standards and standard practices across the team.
- Mentor, guide and coach engineers within the team for job performance as well as technical and leadership growth.
- Recruit, hire and onboard talent, ensuring the right mix of talent within team.
- Manage team size / design and budget.
- Ensure stability, functionality, and on-going improvement for the team’s capabilities and service offerings.
- Partner closely with NM’s software, infrastructure, security, and data engineers throughout the company to deliver shared capabilities that align with NM’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- 6-8 years of professional experience required
- 3-5+ years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages and practices.
- 2-5+ years of experience leading engineering teams including : Growing engineering abilities in others.Developing future engineering leaders.
Providing direct feedback and performance evaluations.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Very strong understanding of DevOps
- Proficiency with the design and development of software products.
- Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions.
- Experience developing and leading solution delivery using agile methods.
- Solid understanding of the organizations business functions, systems, and data.
- Able to communicate and drive strong partnerships between product, engineering, and the business.
- Ability to successfully communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.
- Leading teams to collaboration.
