Job Summary
The 3D Web Integration Specialist is responsible for optimizing and preparing 3D project files for web applications. This includes taking existing 3D project files from Clo or Marvelous Designer and making them web-ready by performing high to low-poly baking using Substance Painter and final edits using Blender, Maya, or equivalent software.
The developer will work closely with the UI / UX team to ensure that 3D assets are optimized for performance and visual quality in web environments.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Take existing 3D project files (Clo or Marvelous Designer) and prepare them for web use.
- Perform high to low poly baking using Substance Painter, Blender, and / or Maya.
- Optimize 3D assets for web applications, ensuring high performance and visual quality.
- Collaborate with the UI / UX team to integrate 3D assets into web projects.
- Maintain a library of optimized 3D assets for use in various web applications.
Other Responsibilities and Duties
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in 3D modeling and web optimization.
- Provide support and training to other team members on 3D asset preparation and optimization techniques.
- Participate in project planning and review meetings.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for 3D asset management and optimization.
Key Competencies
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing software such as Clo, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, Blender, and Maya.
- Strong understanding of high to low poly baking techniques.
- Experience with optimizing 3D assets for web applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Experience
- Proven experience in 3D modeling, texturing, and optimization for web applications.
- Experience with high to low poly baking techniques.
- Familiarity with web technologies and performance optimization for 3D assets.
- Previous experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Education
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related information technology discipline or equivalent experience is desired.
