Your Role
Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual English / Spanish)
As an HR Generalist with us, you’ll perform HR day-to-day and continuous improvement tasks working closely with our General Managers and other senior leaders of your assigned divisions in alignment with the Corporate HR team.
You’ll use your attention to detail, deadline-driven and continuous improvement focus to support efforts in sourcing / recruiting / onboarding, coaching / guidance regarding employee relations concerns, benefits, training, performance management, off boarding, leave of absence administration and policy and employment law compliance
What You’ll Be Doing
Recruiting and Retention
- Conducts recruitment for all exempt personnel, students and liaises with temporary agencies; creates job advertisements, assists hiring manager with interview process and questions
- Works closely with management and employees to build morale and increase productivity and retention
Training and Development
- Identifies training needs for departments, managers, or individuals and develops training or finds resources to meet the learning goals
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training to ensure training objectives are met
Employee Relations
- Assist employees and managers with policy and practices interpretation
- Provides day-to-day performance guidance to supervisors / managers (e.g., coaching, career development, counseling or disciplinary actions and open-door policy)
- Develops high-performing teams and organizations
Record Keeping
- Records employees activities in the department, in order to stay in compliance
- Maintains DayForce, our HRIS (Human Resource Information System), including maintenance of personnel records and compiling of reports from system
What We’d Like to See from You
Required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Comfortable working onsite and in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 2 years in an HR Generalist, or related role
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, similar field of study or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in HCM’s like DayForce, Workday, Paycom and the like
Highly Desired
- Certified Professional, i.e., SHRM or HRCI
- In-depth knowledge of applicable Texas state labor and tax laws
