Additionally, the Dietary Service Supervisor oversees sanitary food handling procedures, ensuring HACCP principles and state regulated codes are adhered to by staff.
Directs and supervises Dietary staff including food service areas. Develops and implements cafeteria and special function event menus.
Monitors quality of food and practices. Responsible for cash register and bank deposits. Instructs staff in sanitation, infection control, portion control and food handling.
Actively participates in recipe development, inventory, and ordering of supplies. Performs routine maintenance for the dietary software system.
Collects and analyze departmental Performance Improvement data. Qualifications Requirements : Knowledge of budget control, food handling, food preparation, modified diets, purchasing, and the use of institutional equipment computers.
Ability to instruct, supervise and evaluate the work performance of others. Ability to make decisions and to adapt to change.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred Food Manager Certification or Dietetic Service Supervisor Certification (DSS) preferred.
Maintains certification in Food Service Sanitation by the Department of Health.
