We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Process Engineer to join our dynamic pulp manufacturing team in Monroe, Louisiana.
This key role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $135,000 and includes a comprehensive relocation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations, production improvements, and operational efficiency of the Fiber department
- Manage and optimize 3 continuous digesters (3-Kamyr), recycle plant, recausticizing plant, and woodyard operations
- Lead area improvements in safety, productivity, quality, cost, and variation reduction
- Ensure compliance with established key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Participate in night and weekend call rotations for the Fiber area
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to coordinate and plan maintenance activities
- Drive problem-solving initiatives and develop countermeasures to prevent future issues
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or related engineering discipline
- 2-7 years of process engineering experience in the paper / pulp industry
- Minimum 3 years of pulp / paper manufacturing experience
- Experience with pulp mill and recausticizing plant operations preferred
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in SAP (preferred)
