Nurses Aide (NA), Post Intensive Care-III

Job Overview : Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Nurse Aide II performs a variety of basic patient care activities and related procedures in caring for the needs of the patients.

He / She assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.Qualifications : Required : * High School Diploma* BLS Certification through American Heart Association only.

Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and demonstrated writing skills.* Proven track record of compassionate care & superior service and a commitment to providing healthcare excellence always.

Preferred : * At least one (1) year experience as a phlebotomist or EKG Technician with health care background. Current enrollment in health care training program as C.

N.A. or PCT preferred* College degree preferred.Certifications and Licenses : * BLS certification through American Heart AssociationScheduling Requirements : * Evenings 3 : 00PM - 11 : 00PM* Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs* Part-Time (15 hrs)* Mandatory OrientationEssential Functions : * Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, B / P, height / weight and intake / output measurements accurately.

Reports findings outside of normal range to RN* Provides assistance with ADL s to assigned patients* Provides assistance with the nutritional needs of patients, including feeding, mealtime assistance / set-up, supplying fluids, and delivering supplemental snacks* Lifts, moves, turns, and transports patients out of bed, chair, stretcher, wheelchair, portable mechanical lift, etc.
