POST BAR LAW CLERK

JOB DESCRIPTION : Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our firm as a Post Bar Law Clerk.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent law school graduates who have completed the bar exam but are awaiting results.

The Post Bar Law Clerk will work closely with our legal team, gaining valuable experience and contributing to various aspects of our practice.

Upon receiving passing bar results and being admitted to the practice of law, the successful candidate will be assessed for transition into an Associate Attorney role within our firm.

SALARY AND BENEFITS :

$30.00-$35.00 / hour

Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Legal Research and Writing : Conduct legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations. Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents under the supervision of experienced attorneys.
  • Case Management : Assist attorneys with case preparation, including organizing and analyzing documents, drafting pleadings, and preparing discovery materials.
  • Client Interaction : Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters. Assist in drafting correspondence and maintaining client files.
  • Courtroom Support : Attend court proceedings, hearings, and depositions alongside attorneys. Take notes, assist with exhibits, and provide general support during legal proceedings.
  • Administrative Tasks : Perform various administrative duties as needed, including file management, scheduling, and other office tasks to support the efficient operation of the firm.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :

  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree : Must have successfully completed a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Exam Completion : Must have taken the bar exam, with results pending and awaiting admission to the bar.
  • Legal Research and Writing Skills : Strong research and writing skills are essential, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and communicate findings effectively.
  • Oral Advocacy Skills : Ability to reason and formulate logical and persuasive arguments on your feet in court or other hearings.
  • Attention to Detail : Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all work assignments.
  • Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, interacting effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients.
  • Professionalism : Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions, both internally and externally.

TRANSITION TO ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY :

Upon receiving passing bar results and being admitted to the bar, the Post Bar Law Clerk will be assessed for transition into an Associate Attorney role within our firm.

As an Associate Attorney, the individual will assume increased responsibilities in case management, client representation, and legal advocacy, under the guidance and mentorship of experienced attorneys.
