n for Simulation Engineer :
This Simulation Engineer will be working in office to develop, verify and validate simulation models for their various clients (with in automotive, hospitals, restaurants, commercial buildings etc).
They will be utilizing dynamic simulation software (preferably Plant Simulation from Siemens).
- Production line simulations.
- Conveyors systems (Power & Free, Skids, Monorails, etc).
- Material Handling systems such as fork trucks, tuggers, AGV, AGC, etc.
- Gantry / Bridge Cranes and ASRS systems.
They will Develop asset library for items listed above and perform delivery routes analysis, operator efficiency analysis.
Throughput capacity / bottleneck and downtime analysis. Develop reports summarizing simulation findings and suggestions.
R esponsibilities for Simulation Engineer :
- Develop, verify and validate simulation models utilizing dynamic simulation software (preferably Develop asset library for items listed above.
- Perform delivery routes analysis, operator efficiency analysis.
- Throughput capacity / bottleneck and downtime analysis.
- Vehicle / carrier / pallet resource optimization.
- Storage capacity determination / sensitivity analysis.
- Develop reports summarizing simulation findings and suggestions Plant Simulation from Siemens)
Requirements for Simulation Engineer :
- BA in Engineering ME or Industrial or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in developing simulation models.
- Experience developing material flow Discrete Event Simulation is a plus.
- Programming experience in Plant Simulation (Flexsim, Siml8, Automod is preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing engineering environment preferred.
- Knowledge of different type of transportation systems such as AGV, fork truck, tugger, conveyor and control logic are preferred.
- Experience with Excel (VBA a plus).
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidate must have basic AutoCAD skill, strong MS Office suite skill, and able to succeed in a high paced environment with minimal oversight.
