Primary Responsibilities

This position will work as a key member of a highway / roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects.

This position would lead our transportation team in Memphis managing across multiple sectors including DOT, transit, aviation, ports / maritime, CEI.

In the role of Project Manager (Transportation), we'll count on you to :

• Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects
• Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project's development
• Establish client relations and assist marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
• Participate in reviews with various governing agencies
• Conduct work sessions for design development and contract execution
• Coordinate workload throughout entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule and within budget
• Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within agreed-to parameters
• Work with Business / Accounting Leadership for project reviews
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 7 years of related experience
• 2 years of project management experience
• Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain through reciprocity
• Hands-on experience with Microstation, Open Roads, Geopak and / or Inroads
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
• Strong verbal and written skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification
• Experience managing projects for DOT or Municipality
