JOB DESCRIPTION The Director, Business Operations position is a strategic role that enables the creation and execution of both the current and future direction & vision of the Arby’s Brand.

In this role, you’ll span across the Marketing and Operations teams, in addition to other key cross-functional partners, managing complex projects, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration and visibility, and ensuring the Brand’s strategic goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.

The role will be a trusted advisor to the Brand President and serve as a liaison to internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships and clear communication, facilitating informed decision-making and high performance across the organization.

You will lead initiatives that enhance operational excellence and organizational growth using analytical insights and proactive management, enabling the entire team to achieve its highest potential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Brand leadership team to develop, implement, and monitor business strategy and initiatives and ensure communication and visibility to senior leaders and key stakeholders
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation, ensuring a strong link between brand strategy and restaurant execution
  • Determine key performance indicators and measure team performance against goals, highlighting potential risks and opportunities along the way and ensuring senior leaders in addition to other key stakeholders are updated on progress
  • Provide leadership and support to internal cross-functional teams to influence and guide direction of key initiatives
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and other key teams to ensure decisions are data-driven
  • Prepare updates and business reviews with executive leaders
  • Identify efficiency opportunities and drive associated initiatives to improve performance and success of the organization.
  • Assist leaders with annual planning process, headcount allocation, and portfolio management
  • Drive staff meeting agendas and manage follow-up actions
  • Strategic communications support for Arby’s leadership team to advance business priorities through executive messaging, presentation materials and leadership communications
  • Counsel senior-level executives to ensure unified messaging
  • Create clear tracking for leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals
  • Provide senior leaders with regular updates, insights, and analysis on strategic initiatives
  • Apply business acumen, strategic thinking, and project management skills to provide leverage to the leadership team to grow
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic counsel and support
  • Serve as a key liaison between the Brand President, internal teams, and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance collaboration and partnership
  • Assist in preparing board and industry presentations, and other relevant reporting materials for senior-level audiences
  • Manage agendas for staff meetings, strategic off-sites, and other important reviews
  • Set and drive a regular cadence of communications to various stakeholders
  • Oversee and manage key projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives, providing progress and updates and ensuring completion against requirements and timeline
  • Establish and track progress and status reporting on multiple projects (e.g., objectives and key results), working cross-departmentally to ensure stakeholder alignment
  • Drive organizational change initiatives, working closely with leadership to assess impacts, communicate effectively, and ensure successful implementation
  • Responsible for budget planning and management, in addition to representation and report out to Arby’s Franchise Association Finance Committee

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum : Bachelors Degree
  • Details : Business, Communications, or other related area of focus

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum Years of Experience :
  • 10+ years of experience providing effective operational support and project management for senior leadership
  • Experience translating strategy into an operational plan and driving to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively leading and managing high-impact, cross-organizational projects

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas and strategies across all levels of the organization ensuring clarity in conveying the company's vision, fostering collaboration, and driving consensus

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights for strategic decision-making, enabling the executive team to make informed choices
  • Effective problem-solving skills and conflict-resolution skills to address challenges proactively and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Excellent consultative and coaching skills
  • Ability to craft compelling and insightful presentations to deliver key updates and drive informed decision-making.
  • Ability to mediate differing opinions and find common ground, foster collaboration, and drive progress toward achieving strategic objectives.
  • Natural ability to establish trust, build strong relationships, and foster partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Innovative, creative thinker who can advise on novel approaches, identify needs and problem solve in the moment
  • Ability to formally and informally lead others, some supervisory experience preferred
