Associate Editor
Description
Client is seeking a skilled associate editor to join our growing content marketing team.
This role is all about managing the editorial production lifecycle of different assets from start to finish, fielding content requests, confirming messaging with brand and subject-matter experts, drafting posts, soliciting feedback and approvals, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure content is published in step with Client’s editorial calendar.
Top-notch writing and editing skills are a must for this position.
Be prepared to share examples of content you’ve either written or edited.
Responsibilities :
- 3+ years of experience writing and editing audience-centric content blog posts, customer stories, ebooks, whitepapers, video scripts, and infographics, all on demanding deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Highly collaborative. You will be expected to work proactively with range of cross-functional partners and teams to deliver content to the finish line
- Working knowledge of content management systems, Google Analytics and Asana project management software would be a major plus but you can also demonstrate the ability to learn new tools quickly
Requirements :
- Help develop content that resonates with Client’s target audiences
- Manage all aspects of the content production lifecycle from idea to first draft; through publication and to promotion
- Rigorously edit content from writers across the organizaion
- Field and prioritize inbound requests for blog posts and other content assets
- Maintain a meticulously organized editorial calendar and keep everyone updated on changes
- Work closely with our brand and design teams to tell a strong visual story as needed
- Analyze content performance
- Improve processes based on qualitative and quantitative feedback
- Field and execute upon operational requests around blog staging, video uploads, and performance tracking
