Our office is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. Currently, we are working remotely.

As guidelines permit, we will move to our plan of hybrid, remote / in-office work.

Role and Responsibilities

KiwiCo is seeking an Associate Videographer / Photographer who can help conceptualize, plan, set-up, shoot, and edit videos and photos used to support our products and marketing content.

We are looking for someone who has skills in videography, photography, and editing. The ideal candidate would have strong camera skills, an eye for staging, a broad operating range, and be able to think and plan strategically while acting quickly against the day-to-day execution.

Responsibilities include :

Creating online and TV ads to promote our products. Take projects from pre-production through completion, and work closely with the team to deliver work on time and on budget.

Also be able to sort through assets from past video shoots to ideate new ways to leverage the footage, and edit existing videos to put a fresh spin on them.

• Planning, setting up, and running photo and video shoots, bringing your positive energy to help make sure the shoots run smoothly and are a great experience for our child models.
• Collaborating with the marketing team to make sure the creatives support the marketing goals and objectives.
• Capturing still photos of our products to be used in our printed materials, online shop, and retail packaging. Help maintain an organized library of photo assets for use across the company.
• Producing instructional videos to help teach our customers how to complete our kits.
• Editing our creative to tell a compelling on-brand narrative.
• Maintaining our visual standards for video and still photos by experimenting with shooting, lighting, and retouching to help us continue to develop and improve our style.
• Working with kids ages 0-17 on set by creating a fun, positive experience for them while capturing the content we need.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree with 3+ years of photo / video experience working in a studio or in the field.
• Strong experience with editing videos in Adobe Premiere. Youre confident both behind the camera and in the editors chair.
• Hands-on, get things done mentality. You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, small company environment, under pressure and working toward aggressive timelines.

You can multitask and meet changing deadlines while still paying attention to details. You have the ability to balance and productively resolve pressing demands and timelines in order to deliver against the company vision and goals.

Resourceful and Flexible. You can see a project through from the idea stage to completion, and are willing to do whatever it takes to make it a success.

You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable with the rapid pace of change in a small, nimble team. You are an innovative thinker who can solve problems creatively but also have a strong desire to continue learning and building upon your skills.

• Great communication skills. Youre highly collaborative, can work within cross-functional teams, and are able to give and receive feedback well.
• Strong organizational skills. Youre great at keeping a production running smoothly and always keep your project files organized, tagged, and available for other team members.
• Superb aesthetic skills. You have a great eye and are able to take any request and find a compelling and attractive way to capture it in video or in a still photo.
