Job Overview :

The Medical Services Coordinator (RN) functions as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for services, within their scope of practice, for support of NCDPS Hurricane Support on-site emergency and disaster efforts.

Each applicant interested in supporting in North Carolina will need to be ready to deploy and arrive at the designated site within 24-48 hrs.

from the time of notice. Each applicant will need to complete an onboarding packet. It is uncertain as to the locations where personnel will be needed but will be located at staging areas established by State Agencies in various regions of the state.

Labor Rates : The following rate includes labor wages, lodging, per diem, and travel.

Registration Specialist Rate : $65-$70 / hr.

Overtime Rate : Time and a half

Shift : Up to 12 hrs. / day Up to 7 days / week

Location : TBD

Requirements :

• Registered Nurse.
• 2+ years of nursing experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of quality assurance experience.
• Responsible for assisting sheltered individuals with the coordination of pharmaceutical and dialysis services outside the SCRS.
• Assisting with the replacement and delivery of prescription medications.
• Scheduling and tracking of dialysis appointments.
• Coordinating with the Telemedicine Coordinator to obtain patient prescription needs.
• Coordinating with the Medical Lead on the daily dialysis needs.
• Coordinating with the Medical Support & Transportation unit on medical transportation for scheduled services.
• A thorough understanding of government contracting is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform assigned tasks / be drug-free.

Physical Requirements :

• The position will require walking, standing, or sitting for periods of up to or beyond 10 to 12 hrs. each day.
• Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment.
