Responsibilities

Assists in the process of discharging the UAC from the shelter to be reunified with a family member, transfer to another facility or foster home, or to track UAC movement within the shelter, for offsite appointments, and other scheduled events.

Discharge of the UAC will occur within the 72 hours of the minor being approved for release and as per ORR policy and procedures.

The dispatcher will submit a travel request in a travel database system, will coordinate, and assign travel chaperones available to travel.

• Ensures the efficient and effective operational procedures and processes to enable successful contract execution.
• Effectively executes all work assignment logistics and travel to ensure travel chaperone assignments are completed and coordinated in accordance with ORR and Acuity International policies.
• Participates in other contract activities as assigned / appropriate.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in coordinating travel and travel logistics of children living in a residential facility.
• Fluent in English and Spanish language (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Ability to respond to travel requests and / or travel disruptions in an organized, responsible, and expedient manner.
• Must have attention to detail in reviewing travel manifests and ensuring the correct travelers are accounted for during scheduled trips.
• May be tasked with expensing and reconciling travel costs and training travel chaperones on how to complete their out-of-pocket travel expenses for reimbursement.
• Possess a current and valid U.S. state / territory vehicle operator's license.
• Ensures compliance with ORR policies and procedures, state, and Federal regulations.
• Must maintained company database systems for travel and shelter / facility census reporting.
• Reports directly to the Case Manager Lead of travel, who will manage the entire Discharge and Reunification Team, under the direction of the Case Management Supervisor and the Program Manager / PM Relief#2.
• May participate in interdepartmental project groups or task forces to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, contract awards, and new policy requirements.
• Performs duties in a safe manner.
• Follows all corporate policies and coordinates the development of new policies as required.
• Supports compliance objectives regarding performance, safety, training, and Acuity International goals.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Assists in active implementation of CHS initiatives to ensure compliance with HHS / ORR, State agencies, OSHA VPP, ISO, JCAHO, AAAHC, and other mandated regulations or standards.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
