Job Description
Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to support the Aerospace Dominance Enabler Division (AFLCMC / HBZ) at Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah.
HBZ functions as the Air Force's technical, acquisition, and sustainment experts providing unique and comprehensive support to the warfighter.
The ADE Division is responsible for a vast array of USAF systems including Electronic Warfare, Range Systems, Range Instrumentation, Air Combat Training, and more.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience as an electrical engineer to include the below essential duties :
- Provide system engineering review and analysis of assigned systems throughout the conceptual, demonstration and validation, engineering, manufacturing development, production and operations support phases.
- Develop and / or originate new features to improve, extend, or validate currently known methods or techniques.
- Assist in translating DoD user requirements into system requirements for design, development, fabrication, testing, and evaluation.
- Review overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability) requirements.
- Assist in the development of system specifications and architecture products.
- Perform independent analysis of proposed engineering changes and provide evaluations and recommendations.
- Support life cycle cost evaluations on proposed systems and components.
- Assist with test and evaluation support including test planning, conduct, and evaluation of results against operational requirements.
- Assist in scheduling and securing required test resources.
- Monitor, assess status, and report on T&E efforts.
- Assist in designing, planning, execution, analysis, reporting, and documentation during test and evaluation programs.
- Support the development of system and program's technical plans.
Job Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must hold an active Secret clearance and be able to maintain it.
- High School Diploma is required.
- 7+ years of directly related experience, five of which must be in the DoD.
- Experience and / or training in electrical engineering areas such as design, development, circuit analysis, RF chain sub-specialties, and more.
- Familiarity with Electronic Warfare and / or Air Combat operations is desired.
- Familiarity with foreign ground radar.
Preferred Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program and at least 3 years of experience in the respective technical discipline, 3 of which must be in the DoD.
