We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our client, a CPA firm in the CONSHOHOCKEN, Pennsylvania area. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of financial and administrative tasks, including the accurate processing of financial transactions and proficient handling of customer inquiries.
You will also be tasked with maintaining precise customer records and ensuring the smooth operation of their firm.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately process and record financial transactions, particularly in relation to accounts payable.
- Efficiently manage incoming phone calls, delivering professional and courteous service to clients.
- Conduct data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Oversee billing responsibilities, including the preparation and sending of invoices to clients.
- Scan and upload important documents into our system to maintain organized records.
- Provide multifaceted support to our accounting staff, assisting with other duties as assigned.
- Manage and maintain accurate customer credit records.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience with billing procedures and data entry
- Knowledge of invoice processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in administrative assistance and tasks
- Prior administrative experience in an accounting setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus
