TexomaCare is proud to be affiliated with Texoma Medical Center (TMC), the Texoma region's leader in hospital services. Texoma Medical Center is a 414-bed acute care facility located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex and just south of the Texas / Oklahoma border.
More than 3,500 employees, 400 multi-specialty physicians, and over 100 volunteers have helped to support the hospital in delivering quality, patient focused care to the Texoma region for over 50 years.
The Tech - MLT is responsible for performing all required laboratory testing procedures including, but not limited to, blood specimen collection, determining validity of results, quality control analysis, maintenance of accurate records and maintaining equipment.
Responsible for interpreting and troubleshooting patient results. The following is a summary of the major job functions;
perform all required testing in various sections of the clinical laboratory according to policy and procedures; perform and
- document results of quality control and maintenance, taking necessary corrective action as prescribed by written policy; collect specimen, process specimens and prepare specimens for testing or referral as prescribed by written policy;
- assist physicians and other clinical personnedl with interpretation of test results; ordering and taking outpatient orders;
responsible for ensuring a clean work area and adequate supplies (restocking of inventory); must be able to perform problem solving or troubleshooting as outlined by lab policy.
The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor that are not listed below; and specific functions may change from time to time
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities.
It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 12 markets across six states and the District of Columbia.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science from accredied college preferred.
Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience or associates degree from approved program in Medical Technology.
Demonstrate knowledge and skill in obtaining laboratory specimens from all age groups.
Excellent verbal and professional communication skill and a committment to team operations.
