Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide leadership and guidance through knowledge, experience, and their ability to effectively manage and oversee current and emerging projects.

The candidate will help identify critical warfighter needs, initiate new projects, and provide management and technical expertise in project execution to deliver impactful capability to the warfighter quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Guides and supports acquisition management of current and future COMSATCOM projects, including the total cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Oversee collaborative development and processing of requirements and programmatic documents such as Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR) and Project Outlines a multitude of stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations on the execution of all policies, business processes and procedures, and supporting technology systems related to budgeting, accounting, cost accounting, cash flow, internal financial controls, and related testing and remediation activities.
  • Assist with the implementation of the Federal Financial Managers Integrity Act.
  • Identify, plan, recommend, and implement solutions that improve efficiencies for internal processes.
  • Manage and report project progress on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to the client as appropriate.
  • Provide recommendations on the execution of all policies, business processes and procedures, and supporting technology systems related to budgeting, accounting, cost accounting, cash flow, internal financial controls, and related testing and remediation activities.
  • Provide guidance on the execution of accounting and finance matters to include funds.
  • Assist with the implementation of the Federal Financial Managers Integrity Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and special projects as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of Government financial management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business management.
  • Demonstrate mastery of financial database systems and tools.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with an attention to detail.
  • A strong focus on solving problems and executing sound judgement.
  • Working knowledge of FAR and federal government pricing procedures.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Secret clearance is required. #qinetiqclearedjob

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in accounting, finance or business management.
  • Previous experience in DoD contracting environment.
  • Experience developing complex rate structures.
  • Experience setting and managing positive client relationships and expectations.
  • Demonstrate previous experience effectively communicating with diverse team, client, and organizational stakeholders.
  • Ability to set priorities, plan, and organize tasks and deliverables as needs evolve.
  • Financial Management certification(s) or demonstrated understanding of financial management best practices.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in applying the principles of Federal Appropriations Law.
