Medical Director of Cytogenetics

Ohio based Akron Children’s Hospital seeks a Medical Director of Cytogenetics to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established group of nine Pathologists and four PhD laboratory directors at one of the nation’s best free-standing children’s hospitals.

Responsibilities :

• The successful candidate will be a PhD Cytogeneticist or MD / DO Pathologist with cytogenetics experience and ABMGG certification in Clinical Cytogenetics and Genomics or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics.
• The candidate will be responsible for cytogenetics interpretation and reporting of constitutional and cancer cases processed with G-banding, FISH, and microarray.

This position is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.
