Position Overview :
We are seeking a Ph.D. medicinal / organic chemist with at least 6 years of industrial, post-graduate laboratory experience to join our team in Newton, Massachusetts.
This is a non-laboratory position with management and review responsibilities over work being done by a team of organic chemists at a major international contract chemistry laboratory.

Key Responsibilities :
- Working with the Director of Research to expedite the development of new classes of anti-cancer drugs
- Assisting in compound design and optimization of synthetic routes
- Reviewing and managing laboratory work related to the synthesis of the compounds
- Reviewing analytical data and troubleshooting compound synthesis and purification
Qualifications :
- Ph.D. in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry
- 6+ years of industrial, post-graduate laboratory experience in the design and synthesis of complex organic compounds / drug candidates
- Must be versed in all relevant analytical techniques, including NMR and HPLC-MS
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
