Through this project, JHCHS established the Center for Outbreak Response Innovation (CORI) as part of the CDC's Insight Net, a network of 13 institutions charged with developing and strengthening epidemic modeling and advanced analytics capacity nationwide.

CORI is building and strengthening partnerships with traditional and nontraditional stakeholders across the country to integrate infectious disease modeling and analytics tools into decision-making at all levels of public health preparedness and response.

CORI seeks to hire a Senior Research Associate to support its partnership with the Alaska Division of Public Health (DPH), within the state's Department of Health.

This team member will be embedded within the Alaska DPH Director's Office and work on a wide range of projects division wide.

  • Support the Alaska DPH during outbreak response and identify potential areas for collaboration with Insight Net to support the development and implementation of effective disease analytic tools and capacities.
  • Serve as an integral member of the CORI and Alaska DPH project teams, including providing technical expertise and attending in-person and remote project meetings.
  • Prepare reports and publishable manuscripts, for both internal and public use, by the Alaska DPH, CORI, Insight Net, or other stakeholders.
