Role Type : Full-time
Work Schedule : Flexible 40-hour week. Must be able to meet with youth and families in the early evening hours on a regular basis and participate in occasional weekend activities.
Work Setting : Truancy Case Managers primarily work in the community at schools, courthouses, family homes, etc. The role involves some office work at our Logan / Olney location.
Essential Job Functions :
- Complete an assessment for each youth and family referred to the program, identifying strengths and needs.
- Participate in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of plans to increase school attendance and developmental assets.
- Meet with each youth and family monthly to assess progress, provide referrals, and offer supportive counseling.
- Conduct regular phone calls with assigned families
- Maintain consistent contact with school personnel and participate in school meetings.
- Complete and submit court reports in advance of scheduled hearing dates.
- Attend hearings and testify in Regional Court and / or Family Court.
- Maintain proper documentation for all cases.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field (required)
- 1+ years of experience working directly with youth and families (strongly preferred)
- Fluency in Spanish (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license, daily access to a vehicle, and car insurance (required)
Salary : $40, - $45, annually
