DEPCOM is looking for a contribution motivated Purchasing Manager to join our Supply Chain team in Scottsdale, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of buyers for our renewable energy EPC projects and services.
This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship.
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage a team of buyers, providing direction, support, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely and accurate purchase order placement.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and company objectives.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, and Project Delivery teams to understand project requirements and schedules.
- Monitor and manage procurement estimates, ensuring all purchases are under or within the forecasted amount.
- Track and report on procurement metrics, including PO placement life cycle, cost savings, on-time delivery, and supplier performance.
- Address and resolve any procurement-related issues or delays promptly.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Build relationships with key suppliers and support any buyer escalations.
- Manage the prioritization of inventory to new jobs and support allocation of excess inventory at the end of a project life cycle.
- Track and manage on-time deliveries of purchased equipment and own the procure-to-pay cycle.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in leading and managing a procurement team.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- EPC or renewable energy industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Procurement, or Business Administration.
