Under general supervision of the Business Operations Lead and Business Operations Manager, would be responsible for functions of the program’s accounting and budgetary requirements.
Using established procedures, the Financial Analyst (FA) aggressively and proactively analyzes data relating to Program costs incurred by Subcontractors (SubK).
Types of data under the FA’s oversight is to include, but is not limited to; Programmatic, Budgetary, Contractual, Cost, Accounts Payable (AP), Business System Administration, and Forecasting.
Supports the general preparation and administration of Program reporting. Prepares short and long range budgetary projections utilizing economic forecasting and financial analytic techniques to assess the impact of budget changes and client requirements.
Utilizes current organization-wide software and systems to complete assignments and support business continuity.
Summary of Essential Job Functions :
- Must be a decisive multi-tasker that can proactively track all program level financial data.
- Must engage with SubK partner(s) on a continuous basis to ensure successful business operations
- Performs duties in support of Month-End close and invoicing process, to include reconciliation of projects / accounts, review, and analysis of monthly financial data.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Capable of leading a detailed financial review with program management
- Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required.
- Supports all audit activities for both internal and external audits.
- Work(s) with Program Management and Contracts to ensure all timely deliverables to customer.
- Monitors SubK funding and contract value to ensure funds are in place to continue business activities for the program.
- Accurately and effectively identify / escalate issues to financial management.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in finance, including government contracting experience for multiple type contracts (FFP, CPFF, CPAF, T&M, etc).
- Must be eligible for a Security Clearance
- Must be proficient in Excel
