We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Hybrid Complex Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex litigation cases, handling court filings, preparing pleadings, and maintaining notebooks.

This role requires a deep understanding of legal concepts and terminology, the ability to monitor calendars, and proficiency in case management and docketing.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Provide comprehensive legal support to attorneys in all aspects of complex litigation.

2. Manage case files and documents, ensuring they are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.

3. Prepare and file court documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

4. Monitor and manage the legal team's calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met and no appointments are missed.

5. Conduct thorough legal research and assist in the preparation of legal arguments, drafts, and other legal documents.

6. Maintain docketing system to track filing deadlines, court dates, and other important milestones.

7. Create and maintain notebooks for various cases, ensuring all relevant information is readily available.

8. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications :

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in complex litigation.

2. A deep understanding of legal concepts and terminology.

3. Proficiency in case management and docketing.

4. Experience in preparing pleadings and handling court filings.

5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

7. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

8. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.

9. A paralegal certificate or equivalent legal qualification is preferred.

10. A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
