Each of the Hotel’s 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building’s legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.
We are looking for... anexperienced and passionate Restaurant Manager for Café Riggs. Our preferred Restaurant Manager candidate would have luxury or independent hospitality experience in the Washington DC market.

You must be able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business. This includes morning, lunch, evening, late-night, weekend and holiday shifts.
Core Essential Functions :
- Reporting into the Restaurant General Manager Manage , you will manage the daily overall daily operations of Café Riggs to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Maintain a flawless relationship with the entire hotel team & be the main point of contact for the hotel leadership team
- Responsible for staff scheduling & payroll
- Welcome guests in a warm, personable, sincere, and friendly manner
- Direct and participate in the functions of the Food and Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation
- Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs
- Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding guest experience
- Regularly review and evaluate guest feedback to ensure a great food and beverage operation
- Assist in recruiting the best-in-class staff and manage the development, motivation, and retention of our team
This position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities
- Hotel Experience is not required Fun and welcoming personality is a MUST
- 3 5+ years of upscale restaurant experience
- Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations is required
- Willingness to learn and adapt in new situations
- Positive outlook and attitude is a must
Beneficial Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field
- Multi-lingual skills

- Prior experience designing, implementing and leading effective training programs for continuous improvement
