Order Entry Specialist The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering customer orders into the company’s system, ensuring all information is complete and correct. This role supports the sales and customer service teams by managing order data, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The specialist may also assist with inventory checks, invoicing, and order tracking as needed . This is a contract opportunity located near Schaumburg, IL Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter customer orders and related data (customer information, item numbers, quantities, pricing, shipping details) into the order management system.
• Review incoming orders for completeness and resolve any discrepancies or missing information.
• Communicate with customers to confirm order details, clarify requirements, and provide updates on order status.
• Coordinate with internal teams (sales, finance, logistics, warehouse) to ensure timely processing and fulfillment of orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse or procurement to address shortages or delays.
• Generate and distribute order confirmations, invoices, and receipts as needed.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or issues related to orders, returns, or exchanges.
• Maintain accurate records of all orders and related correspondence.
• Support process improvements and participate in training or cross-functional projects as required

Requirements and Skills

Proven experience in order entry, data entry, or a similar administrative / customer service role.

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency with order management systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred for some organizations

100% onsite

Pay is $22-$27 an hour, depending on experience
