Job Summary

Responsible for full inventory management of perioperative supplies utilizing Pyxis, Workday, and / or Optiflex. Provide surgical staff with specialty item needs, tracking, reports, and bill-only requisitions. May direct departmental operations.

Essential Functions

Manages supply inventory as assigned by reviewing storage areas and usage daily. Orders both routine and specialty products, coordinating and verifying their tracking, receiving, and stocking.

Utilizes OptiPlex, Workday, and / or Pyxis materials management programs.

Performs case pick process, determined by Picklist, to include scheduled and add-on cases in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains departmental phone to expedite supplies needed and return unused supplies to inventory.

Interacts and communicates with customers to facilitate needed supplies / instruments in a positive and supportive manner.

Maintains signed documentation for picklist / DPC / reports and departmental logs. Produce bill-only requisitions as applicable.

Communicate pertinent information to Supervisor / Manager. Coordinates the departmental operations in the absence of Supervisor / Manager.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory / Management Responsibility

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

Education - Post high school education of up to 18 months in Surgical Technology

Experience - Two (2) years of materials / supply experience. Experience with Workday, Pyxis, and / or Optiflex preferred.

In Lieu Of

In lieu of the education requirements may accept High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of directly related work experience.

Knowledge of office equipment (fax / copier)

Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database)
