Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join their team in Burlington, NJ. The ideal candidate will manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Verify incoming shipments by comparing identifying information and counting, weighing, or measuring items against bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Professionally communicate with suppliers, vendors, and shipping companies to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any shipment issues.
- Prepare, maintain, and record inventories, receipts, purchases, and deliveries to assess supply needs.
- Assist in unloading and unpacking products from trucks, process return items, and ensure proper item storage.
- Conduct regular warehouse audits to ensure materials are undamaged and maintained neatly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including sweeping and mopping floors, removing debris, and properly disposing of packaging materials.
- Occasionally assist with other warehouse tasks, such as picking and packing orders, conducting inventory counts, and preparing merchandise for shipment.
Job Requirements / Certifications :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping or receiving clerk position.
- Experience with receiving functions, including RF scanning, preferred.
- Strong data entry and reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Pay and Shift :
- Availability Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
- Working hours : 6 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm.
- Compensation : $19.50 per hour.
