Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Commercial Property in Santa Monica, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with tenants and visitors, and deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining clear communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and granting access as required by site policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with property management and local authorities as needed during emergency situations or incidents.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance and information to tenants, visitors, and staff as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
