Description
POSITION : Case Manager, Family Preservation Services
DEPARTMENT : Family Preservation Services (Location)
Starting Salary : $43,888- $46,000 (Annually)
Starting salary depends on education and experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES : The Family Preservation Services (FPS) Case Manager works with families who need Family Preservation Services.
Families are referred for support with either short-term stabilization for existing or emergent safety risks or longer-term support to maintain stabilization.
The FPS Case Manager works in the home of the family to teach them the specific skills they need to safely remain together, such as problem-solving skills, crisis management, parenting skills, communication, budgeting, home maintenance, life skills and more.
The FPS Case Manager is also responsible for connecting families to community resources to help stabilize them and increase their support system.
The FPS Case Manager is trained in BIST Behavioral Support Team Interventions, Solution-Based Casework and Sanctuary Model of trauma informed care to better partner with the families they work with and to move them toward positive change.
QUALIFICATIONS : This position requires bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Social Work or related field, which includes the following : Community Counseling, Human Development, Child and Family Development, Applied Family and Youth Studies, Public Health, Health Sciences, Trauma Studies, Sociology / Social Services, Substance Abuse / Addictions, Education / Early Childhood, or Psychology.
Master's degree preferred. Licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practice in Kansas and at least 2 years' experience in child and family services.
Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
