Our client is a highly reputable international manufacturer specializing in the production of large metal automotive components.

They are currently seeking an experienced supplier quality engineer with the following qualifications :

Summary / Objective

This role is responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality System, production processes, and overall product quality within the company and with suppliers.

Essential Functions

Execute quality planning, including APQP and initial sampling.
Coordinate with suppliers for PPAP approval, conduct audits, issue reclamations, and handle charge backs.
Examine laboratory and measurement reports, and initiate appropriate measures.
Prepare for and supervise customer audits, ensuring timely closure.
Implement and monitor countermeasures to address quality issues.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
Create necessary inspection documents for auditors.
Oversee customer and supplier visits.
Participate in and manage quality and customer projects.
Conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance.
Implement and monitor engineering change processes.
Verify tool, process, and gauge buy offs.
Submit PPAP documentation to customers.
Contribute to FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows, and other process documentation.

Competencies

Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Proficiency in written and spoken German (preferred but not required).
Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish (preferred but not required).

Job Description

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Minimum of 50 hours per week.

Travel

Occasional domestic and international travel.

Required Education and Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Automotive Industry.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality related field.
Experience in GD & T.
Auditing experience.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Experience with CATIA / CAD or similar software.
