Manage the day-to-day activities, compilations, correlation, reporting, studies, and detailed analyses of data to drive operations, important business decisions, and mitigate risk / loss.
Identify and recommend solutions, practices, and innovative techniques that align with strategic business initiatives, anticipate market changes and trends, and meet financial goals.
Support senior management in developing and executing strategic plans. Work is performed under limited supervision. Act as Manager in the incumbent's absence.
- Supervise business reporting and oversee necessary analytics and reporting tools are in place to achieve optimal results
- Assist the Manager in planning and completing complex analyses and reporting for pricing, underwriting, capital planning, and budgeting
- Collaborate with business units and senior management to conduct needs assessment to support organization strategies, tactics, and learning solutions that support business unit objectives and drive decisions
- Consult with stakeholders and business partners to define key performance indicators, short / long-term goals and objectives, initiatives, and actions plans
- Drive continuous process improvement to increase member experience quality, reduce losses, minimize financial risk and maintain high operational efficiency
- Produce complex and detailed reports, projections, and solutions to establish and strengthen system controls, facilitate process management, data reconciliation, and optimize methodologies
- Monitor internal processes and perform quality control audits to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and Navy Federal policies and procedures
- Provide conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders based on results of analyses and business unit goals
- Address and resolve internal / external audit questions and findings
- Maintain knowledge of department automated systems, business processes, markets, financial services industry (., NCUA, RESPA, CPB, , security (.
BSA, AML, , legal issues, regulatory changes, and Navy Federal business strategies
- Serve as liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors
- Identify areas of improvement and work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement solutions
- Oversee vendor management program, negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, monitor risk assessments and ensure adherence to service level agreements;
identify and resolve vendor related issues
- Collaborate with Procurement in the selection and transition of vendors
- Support to explore expansion across new business lines

- Significant progressively responsible experience in leading and managing a business analytics operation, preferably in a large financial services organization
- Advanced knowledge of applicable federal and state, laws, rules and regulations
- Advanced knowledge of banking / financial industry trends, products and services
