Job Description
The Process Control Engineer DT (Control Systems and Factory 4.0 / Digital Transformation focus) will provide leadership for Global Capital and Improvement Projects from feasibility through construction and start-up.
The candidate will generate cost effective process control Digital Transformation engineering services while achieving HSE, operational, schedule, and financial targets through enforcing the application of corporate standards to ensure company knowledge assimilation.
Position requires and is responsible for :
Proven skills in requirements gathering, design, configuration, and implementation of process control solutions based on Factory 4.
0 concepts for capital and improvement projects including batch software, PLC / DCS systems, HMI packages, SCADA systems, and industrial PC networking technology.
- Ability to organize, plan, manage, implement, and optimize organizational change projects.
- Expertise in batch process manufacturing in all the following project phases : Requirement’s documentation, detailed design generation (base on ISA-88 and using object-oriented design approach), implementation, system integration, testing and on-site startup, using PSM (Process Safety Management) elements and Industrial standards.
- Knowledge in : Digital Transformation Methodology and Technologies, concepts of Big data and Analytics.
- Ability to develop scope for Process Simulators low fidelity and high fidelity (digital twins) use for testing.
- Knowledge in Process Control Network Architecture design, using principals of Cybersecurity.
- Knowledge in Alarm Management and Artificial Intelligence concepts of Alarm pattern recognition.
- Oversee the deployment, integration, and adoption of new digital tools. Plan for an effective digital adoption to improve operational proficiency, productivity, and a software platforms value.
- Proven track record in programming leadership as well as the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion.
- Identifying subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues and implementing process changes / control plans to drive continuous improvement
- This person will be the project technical lead and may be responsible for some project management activities in addition to leading digital transformation projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 experience in Chemical and related industries is required.
- Experience working with control standard ISA-88 and related standards.
- Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision.
- Experience with Allen Bradley family of PLC's ControlLogix and AVEVA software solutions, HMI / SCADA, Data Historian, and Batch software is a preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, Chemical Engineering preferred or Digital Transformation master’s degree.
