The Store Room Clerk will be responsible for receiving, maintaining, and distributing railroad materials and inventory at our Baltimore, Maryland facility, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to railroad safety rules and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations.
Receive, store, stock, issue, and maintain railroad materials and inventory.
Conduct cycle counting activities.
Operate material handling equipment and forklifts.
Perform various office tasks, including electronic data processing, filing, and record keeping.
Deliver and pick up materials using a Commercial Motor Vehicle to various sites.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse setting.
At least 1 year of experience with inventory cycle counting.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Driver's License.
Typing speed of 35 average net words per minute.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Basic Competencies :
Strong verbal comprehension and communication skills.
Self-motivated with effective reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic mathematical calculations.
