Position Overview & Responsibilities
- Validate invoices weekly from point-of-sale upload
- Monthly invoice uploads
- Weekly payment runs
- Period close tasks
- Collaborate with all departments
- Ensures proper accounting procedures are being followed for processing invoices for payment
- Reconciles account statements from vendors
- Correspond with vendor inquiries
- Correspond with restaurant inquiries
- Verify and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Maintain and create vendors
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Other duties and projects as assigned by the Senior AP Specialist and Assistant Controller

Position Requirements
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influence skills
- Ability to work well both independently and with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with vendors, restaurant managers and RSC departments
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel
- Experience with Great Plains strongly preferred or equivalent, in addition to any document management system
