In this role , the Process Engineer will contribute and support all areas in regard to equipment and process upgrades, and new installations in an effort to manufacture optimal quality products.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct processing trials such as physical testing, and analysis of samples along with writing technical reports of those studies.
- Optimize process flows to increase efficiency during new product launches
- Implement new processes & improvements to reduce costs
- Improve manufacturing processes to help reduce scrap, justify expenditures, increase product quality and reduce set up time
- Provide technical support to production
- Participate in equipment & product validations
Qualifications :
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering / technological role
- Hands-on experience this position will require heavy presence on the production floor
- Knowledge of lean six sigma quality tools
- Root cause analysis & corrective actions experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Working knowledge of CAD or CAM software is mandatory
- Must have experience programming using MasterCAM, and 3D Modeling experience (Inventor)
- Working knowledge of ERP (in particular BOM & Method creation & support).
- Strong working knowledge of programming and automated mechanical / electrical / hydraulic (as appropriate) equipment for tooling, fixtures, and testing.
- Proven track record of process implementation, and process optimization / troubleshooting.
