Applicants must meet one of the following criteria :
- Possess an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college; or
- Have earned 60 credit hours (or the equivalent) from an accredited college; or
- Have passed a state approved test (WIN, Workkeys or Parapro by ETS) at the required levels
Other Qualifications include :
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience working with students in a classroom setting preferred
- Ability and willingness to work well with others required
- Basic computer skills required
- Possess knowledge of subject content to provide relevant learning experiences
Responsibilities :
- Facilitates lessons and activities that reinforce learning through the use of district approved software and other resources
- Assist students with assignments
- Provide a well-managed, safe, student-centered environment that is academically challenging and respectful
- Participate in staff development training workshops to learn and update skills related to the position
- Maintains discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Terms of Employment :
This position works 9 ¼ months (185 days) per year and is paid on the Support / Annual Salary Schedule in Group I unless otherwise noted.
