About This Job

Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a junior-level JWICS Cyber Security Analyst.

The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation.

The position will have the following duties and responsibilities :

Responsibilities include the cybersecurity posture of the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICs) and SCIF facilities.

Duties include ensuring certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation and implementation meets AFI 17-101, JSIG, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards for DoD Information Technology

  • Validates all aspects of RMF are implemented for all assets connected, or to be added, to the local network are accepted and approved by the appropriate Designated Approving Authorities (DAAs)
  • Evaluate operational readiness of communications equipment, network devices, sensors, intrusion detection and related support equipment.

Manages and performs Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) and cyber functions (DoDIN operations)

  • Coordinates requirements with the responsible personnel and tracks suspense for completing required actions and reports virus problems in accordance with established procedures
  • Ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and networks by planning, analyzing, developing, and implementing information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Serves in a supporting role advising, posturing, preparing and auditing the organization for unit self-inspection program, compliance Inspections, and accreditations
  • Coordinates with Information System Security Managers at the base and MAJCOM level to verify or clarify information pertinent to cybersecurity / Information Assurance procedures

Travel

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education and Experience Required for This Position :

  • HS Diploma and 7+ years of related experience, or
  • BS / BA degree with 3+ years of related experience, or
  • MS / MA degree with 2+ years of related experience
  • Specific training and education in Cybersecurity
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity methodologies, tools, and systems
  • Proven capacity to identify vulnerabilities and create impactful mitigation plans
  • Comfortably working independently to manage projects and tasks to completion
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Exceptional troubleshooter with experience resolving complex technical issues

Certification Requirement

The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I or higher certification requirements upon hire date.

Clearance Requirement

The applicant must have a fully adjudicated Top Secret clearance upon hire date.

Citizenship Requirement

Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.

  • Strong background in IT / Cybersecurity
  • Experience providing world class customer service
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and issues to non-technical leaders and user

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range : $61830 - $105120

Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
