The Medical Laboratory Scientist precisely and accurately performs and results laboratory procedures using established quality assurance protocols.
This position assists in the collection of laboratory specimens, performs instrument maintenance and record keeping and acts as a resource person for issues of laboratory services.
The Medical Laboratory Scientist has access to confidential patient information and direct patient care. This position does not have access to funds.

Minimum Qualifications (include) :
- Required : Bachelor's Degree; areas of concentration include Medical Laboratory Scientist or Chemical / Physical / Biological Science.
- Required Certification : Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification must be in place or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Previous experience of 4 or more years performing high complexity testing in the respective lab section plus any other qualifications specified in the CLIA regulations.
