Job Summary
This individual will support the Standardized Patient Program with a focus on recruitment, initial training, and developing qualified Standardized Patients for Office of Medical Simulation events.
This position will report to the Director and Coordinator, and coordinate with the Medical Simulation Staff to facilitate communications, collaboration, and coordination with the Medical Simulation program.

- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.

- Represent the Office of Medical Simulation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic non-invasive medical diagnostic equipment (i.e. blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, and otoscope) as well as a general understanding of basic physical examination.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Able to assess situations and adapt to highly dynamic environment and have the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Basic desktop computer skills and general understanding of medical simulation and theater.
- Ability to learn new software and platforms quickly.
- Ability to attend occasional conferences and workshops.
Required Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Health or closely related discipline or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job in a satisfactory manner.
Experience : 2-4 years of administrative experience. Experience in higher education, preferably in a standardized, simulated, or virtual patient environment.
Demonstrated teaching / training ability preferred. Preferred Qualifications Essential Job Duties Key Responsabilities Work in collaboration with the Director and Coordinator to oversee Standardized Patients (SPs), maintain job postings, hiring community outreach, generate reports, conduct interviews, candidate assessment, present candidates to educators / SP team.
Key Responsabilities Work with Director and Coordinator to develop and oversee Standardized Patient (SP) protocols, applications and tools used for training and performance including the co-oversight of recruitment and training.
Initiates a year-round recruitment program for standardized patients including advertising and facilitation. Key Responsabilities Perform initial training for new hires in technology, checklist items, key concept for SP performance, and scaffolding.
Key Responsabilities Support Director and Coordinator by regularly evaluating all SPs using event recordings and scores or for specific SPs as requested by staff.
Generate reports for remediation to educators and staff. Key Responsabilities Attend trainings, maintain SP records, update SP demographics and compliance, and assist at events as requested by educators.
