POSITION SUMMARY :
Puyallup Tribal Enterprises (PTE) is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic Team! This is a highly cross functional position that works in coordination with a wide variety of PTE business partners, across several industry segments, to help us meet our business plan to maximize the social and economic value of Puyallup Tribal lands and resources.
This position is responsible for providing strategic business analysis services to PTE business partners throughout our growing organization.
They work closely within the business development programs to gain in-depth understanding of the business strategy, processes, services, opportunities, and the context in which the business operates.
They utilize this knowledge to support multiple directors in project administration, scheduling, documentation, reporting, and business & financial modeling.
They provide critical review of end-to-end business processes to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Formulate and assess business development strategies and manage the process to target, assess and acquire assets suitable to meet the strategic objectives of the Tribe.
- Analyze competitive threats and opportunities, from not only a financial perspective, but also the legal, social, environmental and political impacts.
- Develop marketing strategies and plans for PTE's business units
- Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to assess investment opportunities across a range of operating and financing scenarios.
- Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Technology and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others involved
- Prepare operating budgets and proforma income statements, balance sheets and cash flow models to support the Economic Development Team in exploring new opportunities for owned businesses and / or joint ventures.
- Compile, analyze, and share key business metrics, accurate financial and project reporting, and critical issues timely with all department leaders
- Prepare and deliver executive level reports, presentations and dashboards for the PTE's C-suite executives
- Manage relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep internal and external customers fully updated on project status and results
- Ensure organizational policies and procedures are accurately and consistently followed
- Champion PTE Values and work to teach and promote them throughout PTE
- Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout PTE
- Use all company resources efficiently to promote maximum financial results for PTE; maintain PTE equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships and with all employees, vendors, business partners, government / regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
- Strictly follow workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times;
promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard PTE assets at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum
Minimum
- BA / BS degree in business or related field
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree in related field
- Experience in related business or industry
- Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency and advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Strong data analytics and analysis skills ability to translate complex data into business decisions
- Ability to make wise decisions using effectual mix of analysis, experience, and judgment
- Ability to research, compile, analyze, reconcile, and interpret complex data and financial records
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong knowledge of integrated financial systems, inventory control, databases, and the MS Suite, with an aptitude to recommend and adapt technology to changing needs
- Relates well to all people, diplomatic / gracious; builds good relationships without compromising results
- Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
- Uncompromising integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Driver's License and ability to pass background check
Preferred
- 3 or more years in related business or industry
- Experience working with Tribal governments or entities
- Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational request from the business
- Tableau and / or Salesforce experience
