We are currently seeking a qualified Director of Engineering to join our client’s organization and contribute to their ongoing success.

Job summary

As the Director of Engineering Management, you will lead our engineering team. Your role will focus on ensuring that our engineering practices are not only robust and scalable but also aligned with our relentless commitment to customer satisfaction.

Your leadership will be instrumental in managing high-traffic Internet architectures and driving innovations that meet the dynamic needs of podcast creators.

Responsibilities :

• Champion the ongoing adoption and refinement of Agile practices across engineering teams, enhancing our responsiveness and flexibility in software development.
• Design, develop, and optimize a microservices architecture to support the scalability and reliability of our high-traffic platform.
• Oversee the strategic management of our hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure to ensure efficient scaling and security of our hosting solutions.
• Cultivate a customer-obsessed culture, ensuring that all engineering projects prioritize user experience and satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement through rigorous testing, deployment, and maintenance practices within an Agile Software Life Cycle framework.
• Mentor, develop, and lead engineering teams, fostering an environment of professional growth and innovation.
• Engage with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that engineering strategies align with business goals and contribute directly to customer success.

Requirements :

• Proven leadership in managing complex, high-traffic web architectures and significant engineering teams.
• Strong command of Agile methodologies, with a demonstrated track record of enhancing engineering practices through Agile principles.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and hybrid cloud environments (experience with AWS and other cloud technologies preferred).
• Exceptional ability to mentor, develop, and lead teams, promoting an inclusive and innovative engineering culture.
• Strong customer focus, with experience in developing technologies that improve user experiences and business outcomes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
