Job Summary :

The Lead Estate Planning Attorney will assist in providing comprehensive estate planning services to clients, including the creation and management of wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.

This role involves working closely with clients to understand their financial and familial goals, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing strategic advice to help clients achieve their estate planning objectives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

The duties listed below are some of the duties that may be assigned and may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform.

  • Drafting legal documents essential to estate planning, including but not limited to last wills and testaments, personal property memoranda, financial powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney, living wills, HIPAA releases, beneficiary deeds, living trusts, and other related documents.
  • Conducting and leading client meetings, both virtually and in-person, to assess client needs and provide tailored legal advice.
  • Utilizing high proficiency in various technology platforms to streamline processes and enhance client communication.
  • Managing client cases through an organized pipeline from initial consultation to document execution and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborating with other professionals such as financial advisors, accountants, and insurance specialists to offer comprehensive estate planning solutions.
  • Staying informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting estate planning and ensuring compliance with all legal standards.

Type and Scope of Supervisory Responsibilities :

Manage the legal aspects of all estate planning cases

Requirements :

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Licensed attorney in good standing with the Arkansas Bar.
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple client cases concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency in using technology platforms for legal practice management.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and trust.

Work Experience Required for this Job :

Prior experience in handling estate planning matters is preferred whether as a licensed attorney or law clerk. (1+ years)

Education Required for this Job :

  • Juris Doctor Degree
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Attendance Requirements :

  • Daily attendance (predominately virtual) is required during normal business working hours.
  • In-person attendance is required for initial training, companywide meetings as well as for select client and team meetings.
  • The Company reserves the right to require in-person attendance at the Company’s worksite at any time with adequate notice.

The Company also reserves the right to make full-time attendance at the Company’s worksite an essential job function for this position if attendance becomes necessary to increase productivity, to develop teamwork, to conduct training, to better address customer needs, or to accomplish any other valid business goal.

If full-time attendance requirements for this position materially change, the Company will provide thirty (30) days’ prior notice of the change.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Core business hours are 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. but the employee’s schedules are at the discretion of the supervisor and dependent on the needs of the business.

Travel :

Travel, if necessary, is primarily local during the business day, although some out of area and overnight travel may be expected
