Inolex is seeking an enthusiastic Technical Account Manager who is passionate about the beauty care industry and providing thoughtful solutions to our key clients.
The position requires an individual who will be independent, organized, and team oriented. This is an external sales role working remotely out of a home office.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing Inolex’s western region of assigned direct, hybrid and distribution accounts while seeking & qualifying prospective X customers.
The candidate will also help coordinate sales efforts with key brands, indies and consultants.

The Technical Account Manager will interface between our customers in the western US region, our national distribution partner, our manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC, our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA and our R&D laboratories in Camden, NJ.
This position is remote, but the candidate needs to be local to the Los Angeles, California area.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Achieve substantial sales and profitability growth with assigned direct, hybrid and distribution accounts and new customers.
- Identify new brands and prospects through research, review of market information, or other varied sources (website, UL Prospector, info@ e-mails, HAPPI, conferences).
- Prepare account plans, call reports, sample requests and regular follow up with clients.
- Maintain and grow opportunity pipeline with POS to meet annual targets.
- Engage current accounts to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities, and develop account intelligence.
- Understand customer objectives, needs, and profitability drivers.
- Prepare annual sales budgets and provide routine forecast reports.
- Update customer database on a routine basis and keep track of new business opportunities.
- Monitor key sales performance indicators and report on deviations.
- Maintain presence at key industry events and seminars.
- Any additional duties or special projects as required by the business to serve customers.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Computer competency : experience with MS Office applications and CRM software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and cross-group collaboration skills.
- Ability to work extended periods of time on one’s own.
- Open to travel for in person customer visits within the western territory and to Philadelphia, PA Headquarters and Charlotte, NC manufacturing for business meetings as needed.
- Knowledge of Customer Service’ and Sales’ best practices.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in a science field (chemistry or engineering preferred).
- Three to five years commercial experience.
- Prior experience in formulation of cosmetic products and ability to troubleshoot formulation challenges is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of personal care ingredients and their function .
- Knowledge of the global beauty care industry, market drivers, supply chains and key accounts .
- Membership and participation in key beauty industry professional associations .
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to work remotely from home office and execute travel to customer and on-site company meetings.
- This role will be subject to approximately 35% travel.
