A law firm in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a skilled Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join their litigation practice.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of commercial, civil, and business litigation matters with a national and international client base.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in complex litigation and a deep understanding of litigation procedures.
This role provides exposure to high-stakes cases, including trade secret and non-compete litigation, intellectual property disputes, and merger and acquisition-related litigation.

Duties :
- Represent clients in all phases of general commercial, civil, and business litigation from pre-trial through trial and appeal.
- Handle complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on trade secrets, non-compete, intellectual property, and merger and acquisition litigation.
- Manage the litigation process, including discovery, e-discovery, and motion practice.
- Draft legal briefs, motions, and other court filings with precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues to develop effective litigation strategies.
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and oral arguments, ensuring effective representation of clients.
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and legal teams to handle litigation matters and ensure effective case management.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Minnesota or eligibility for admission.
- 2-5 years of experience in a litigation-based practice with a focus on complex commercial litigation.
- Prior experience in trade secret, non-compete, intellectual property, or merger and acquisition litigation (preferred).
Certifications :
- Admission to the Minnesota Bar (required or eligible for admission).
- Federal judicial law clerks are strongly encouraged to apply.
Skills :
- Thorough knowledge of litigation procedures, including discovery, e-discovery, and motion practice.
- Strong legal writing and research skills, with a demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and legal opinions.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, both written and verbal.
