Job Title : Construction Safety Manager (Hicksville, NY)

Location : Hicksville, NY

Duration : 3+ Months (Start 11 / 4)

Type : 1099 Contractor

Compensation :

• Hourly Rate : $58 / hr overtime after 40
• Completion Bonus : $150 / month
• Pay : Weekly

Schedule :

• Hours : 40+ hours : M-F, 7am - 3pm.
• 2 Saturdays scheduled to work for a shut down
• Potential to work weekends if work gets behind.

Project Scope :

The Construction Safety Manager will oversee the safety of the demolition, electrical, and mechanical work -demo of 5 chiller units, installation of 4 new chiller units, and retrofit of new switch gear (JSAs, Site Walks, Audits, safety enforcement, etc.).

Qualifications :

• Experience : 5+ years in construction safety management. Needs to have electrical and mechanical experience. Demo experience preferred.
• Certifications : Current OSHA 510, NYC SST Certification is a plus

Principal Duties & Responsibilities :

• Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
• Provide safety training as needed.
• Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
• Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications

Skills :

• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
• Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Knowledge : Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
